Thrive Support Services is a children’s home based in Swindon, Wiltshire, offering round-the-clock support and accommodation. Our approach is strength-based, placing each child’s skills, potential, and ambitions at the heart of helping them achieve lasting success.
We support children who have experienced trauma, neglect, or crisis—times when their futures may have felt uncertain. With the help of our dedicated staff, lived experience, and tailored training, we provide the care, guidance, and encouragement that children need to rebuild confidence and develop the resilience to pursue their goals and aspirations, leading to as much independence as possible.
Our homes are warm, caring, and individualised, ensuring every child feels safe, secure, and truly at home. We involve children in the process as much as they wish, making their experience personal and meaningful to them.
The overriding ethos of Thrive Support Services is ‘When Action Meets Compassion, Lives Change’ this is achievable by ‘Doing what’s right, Doing what’s needed, Doing what works’ this is achievable by
‘Understanding and embracing the child individual needs, building loving and meaningful relationships and teaching each child to believe in themselves and recognise their own self-worth’. From our ethos we believe we can identify the right support at the right time, by working together with the children, their families, and relevant professionals to ensure a unified multi-disciplinary team approach for the best possible outcomes.
The Children’s Home Regulations 2015 state “Children in residential childcare should be loved, happy, healthy, safe from harm and able to develop, thrive and fulfil their potential”. The UN ‘Convention on the Rights of the Child’ recognises that “the child, for the full and harmonious development of his or her personality, should grow up in a family environment, in an atmosphere of happiness, love and understanding”.
